Sending an email attachment with just the link to a Workspace

I have a need to send out emails over the internet that only include the Doc workspace URL, but do not include the doc as an attachment for security purposes. Currently if you attach a doc using outlook 2003 and ask it to create a workspace it also attaches the doc to the email. Is there a way to control this?

How about just the url  of the folder??

Not sure what you mean, but thinking about it, I could create a workspace  and add users with alerts, so all I need to do is add a doc  and an email  with a link  will be sent to the users.
