Send notifications

I want to send a message to the readers of a folder every time a document
is published, but we don't want the user to suscribe to anything, is there a
form in which I can send notifications to all the readers of a folder
everytime a document is published?, (something like a forced subscription).

If you have a domain distribution list including that folder's readers, you can
create a subscription  as local administrator with notifications  sent to the
list.
