How to Send Meeting Request Using InfoPath 2007

  Asked By: Bridget    Date: Oct 20    Category: MOSS    Views: 2406

I am new to Infopath.

I able to send out meeting request , but its work only from the Server
mean to say if I do RDP to server
And Invoke the browser and fill in hit the submit button, its
successfully send out an email

If I do the same on my system or any others system its fail to send out
meeting request
I believe it's do to NTLM or Negotiate authentications and I believe if
I set to Negotiate it should able to send out from my system too.
Please advise me on how to set the Negotiate type authentication If I
need to.

I don't think your problem has anything to do with either Infopath or
authentication directly. I suspect the problem is that you are trying
to use the SharePoint Object Model in managed code in an InfoPath form
that is executing on the client. SharePoint Object Model code can only
be executed on the server itself. That's why the form works when you
RDP to the server, but not anywhere else. You need to either use a
SharePoint webservice call (if one exists for this) or write your own
webservice to run the managed code on the server and then call that from
the managed code on the InfoPath form.

I created web service but while debugging it's not get authenticated
to Exchange server with my "DefaultNetworkCredentials" (this was my
Original problem)

MyCredentialCache = new System.Net.CredentialCache();
MyCredentialCache.Add(new System.Uri(strCalendarUri),
//"NTLM" ,

hence failing to send  and catch with exception "401 Unauthorized"
