Security Setup for MOSS 2007 & SQL Server 2005

We are "graduating" from our standalone WSS 3.0 systems to MOSS 2007
connected to a separate SQL Server (we will migrate the websites
later). Can someone provide guidance (direct or hyperlinked article) to
simplified security setup to get our MOSS and SQL systems properly
configured? The Microsoft documentation on the required SQL, AD and
machine accounts is *not* straightforward, so guidance on proper
security would streamline our installation.
