I'm trying to setup security permissioning for SharePoint
so that users can view the version history for documents
using the portal interface.

I assume you create an NT user account for the new user,
assign them authoring permissions to the applicable
documents, and everything should work right? Wrong!

When I click "Version History" under the actions for a
document, the following error is reported in the
browser: "You do not have permission to perform this
operation"

Now, when I try to view version history for the same
document using a web folder, it will show it just fine, no
errors.

Also, if I give the particular user NT Administrator
rights, the version history also shows up fine.

What's going on? What security settings do I need to set
for each user to properly view version history over the
web?
