Asked By: Allan Schneider         Date: Sep 30, 2003      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 2628

When i go to configure profile import page i get the
following error in red text : "This page is not
encrypted for secure communication. User names,
passwords, and any other information will be sent in
clear text. For more information about how to secure
the pages on this server farm, see the SharePoint
Portal Server Administrator's Guide"

I checked the administrator's guide but nothing is
given there about the problem. How can i sercure a
page?

I try to configure  profile import  and I get the
following errors:

"This page  is not encrypted for secure  communication.
User names, passwords, and any other information  will
be sent in clear text. For more information about how
to secure the pages  on this server  farm, see the
SharePoint Portal Server Administrator's Guide.

Failed to retrieve the current domain name from the
Active Directory directory services.

One or more values typed on this page are not valid.
Check the text  for the indicated fields.

Settings from the following sections have been
successfully saved : (1) Source"

I did proper installation and logged in as domain user
which has the Power user  Rights. Along with the above
error i get this too:-"The specified account cannot be
validated at corresponding domain controller."
