Searching problem

Asked By: Nichole Cole         Date: Aug 28, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 198

I’ve recently migrated our farm to a new set of servers and now after reconfiguring the indexes and content for searching and doing full crawls for a week, when a user searches for something the results page returns no hits even though there should be at least 10 or 15 matches. Any ideas?

I reset it again and am running full  index update. It seems that the search is being made but when results  are found they are not being rendered on the page. Now, when a search is made if there is no match the page  displays the typical look someplace else message; but if matches are found the page is blank. The same thing happens when a person searches  at the portal or at a single WSS site. Full text search and indexing is enabled. Any other ideas?
