Search from searching any given Lists in my farm

We have couple of lists/sublists. We don't want the data that is in
there to show up under results.

I have gone to List Settings/Advance Settings and changed the option
for 'Allow items from this list to appear in search results' to NO. I
then reset the crawl even and started the crawler again but these
items in these lists are still showing up.

I thought we could also accomplish this by setting a rule in scope
but i am not sure if i am doing that correctly.

I went into my All Sites scope and added a new rule and setup the

Scope Rule Type: Web Address
Web Address: Folder= http://testsite/pr/lists/*
Behavior: Exclude-items matching this rule will be excluded from the

I then clicked on 'Start Update Now' to start updating the scope.
That for some reason took a long time but entries in those lists are
still searchable.

What am i doing wrong? Or are there any additional steps that i need
to perform that are required? Any help you can provide would be
greatly appreciated.
