Search not indexing default page metadata

Asked By: Edward    Date: Jul 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1188

I add the metadata to the default pages, kick off a full crawl, and
nothing shows up for the default pages in search, add it to any other
page and it is searchable> Is there some hidden (or undocumented)
differance in the default pages, anyone know how to get search to
index the default pages?

there is an option in site settings to turn on search  visibility
of finely grained aspx pages. You might check that out.

The site or the list (if it is a publishing page) might be marked with a
no-index attribute.
