How do you search on a filename in SharePoint?

Asked By: Jordan    Date: Feb 24    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2306

In sharepoint how do I search for a document by its filename? The
filename option doesn't appear in the Properties list in the Search by
Properties web part.

I think you use "display name" property.

Example: I have a file named pmf.xls.pgp. The title of the file is
"Password Management File"

If I search  for "title" "contains" "password", it comes up. It also comes
up if I search for "Display name" "contains" "pmf".
