Usually happens when you use IIS Lockdown to remove the admin site.

Refer to MS KB articles 319633 and 232068

I resolved my issue using the PLACEHOLDER method referred to in MS KB article

but I never used IIS lockdown and Administration Web Site
is intact.

I tried looking for article "323234" but it seems incorrect. Can you pls  re-send
the article number and if possible throw more light on it.

The problem persists.

I have done the following to confirm that my Administration Web site is working:

1. Checked in IIS
2. Used adsutil.vbs to check if "W3SVC/2" belongs to Administration Web site

The problem is:

1. System webparts  like Subscription, Categories, Search and document  Library
webparts are giving problems

Subscription Summary
Error: Failed to get subscription  results for

Error: script  Execution Error: Invalid query.

Document Library
Folder Information: Script Execution Error: Microsoft JScript runtime error
'strRootDocLibLabel' is undefined line = 1, col = 0 (line is offset from the
start of the script block). Error returned from property or method call.

Script Execution Error: Object required

Matching Categories: XML Load Error: Invalid at the top level of the document.
