Screen Resolution

Asked By: Srikant Hebbar         Date: Apr 24, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 503

Where can you set the screen size for a SharePoint portal page. My front page has the horizontal scroll all of a sudden. I can't figure out why. It looks like the left zone is bigger now on the template. Where can I adjust this?

To the best of my knowledge there is not an easy way or OOTB way to
change the screen  resolution for an SPS area page. You can specify
the Hieght and Width of a web part though through the modify web part
property pane. If that doesn't help the other way you may be able to
make everything fit is to modify the default.aspx of that page  either
via opening in FP 2003 (warning unghosting will occur once you make
changes and save) or modifying the default.aspx directly in the
system files located in

"Local Drive\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\1033\SiteDefinition"

Did you add an image on the page  that is causing you grief?

Yes that is exactly what happened. I resized the image and put it in a content editor web part and it seems to be working fine.
