Save connection between webparts

Asked By: Carter    Date: Mar 11    Category: MOSS    Views: 638

I am creating an intranet where they are placed on two locations.
They have a news listing that can be either relevant for location1,
location2 or both.

When the user comes on the page he/her chooses the location and this
should then be saved.

I have created a list that stores the news where they sepcify the

I have also created a list containing the two locations.

On the frontpage I have diplayed the two webpart and made a data
connection between them. This works like a charm, no code..:o)

But how do I get it saved? I would prefer not to do a lot of coding.
They have the solution running on SPS2003 and I am not migrating it
manually to MOSS because the custimizations made have made it
impossible to do it automatically, and I would like to avoid that in
the future

You will need to contrive a link to the actual New page  of the list  or
use the classic URL protocol (a more code-ish solution  where you set the
correct fields in the HTML and then post the page back to the server).
