SAP 4.7 and Sharepoint workflow

Asked By: Diamond    Date: Mar 14    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1265

I have been offered a project to create a work flow that wires in SAP web
services for 4.7 and moss ent. I know nothing about this version of SAP, but I
have been able to work well with later versions of SAP and net weaver. Can
anyone just verify that that is not an impossible task, any pointers at all
would be helpful, I am thinking Inforpath forms connected via webservices, but
of course would love to hear from the community at large.

You can use two options.
Either Business Data Catalog to achieve this ( this is a bit tough, as you
have to create  an Application Definition File (ADF), which is an xml file)
which will communicate with the SAP Web services. To create this, there are
editors, but its difficult to find errors with this, as you can't debug this
xml file.

Or you can create a web part which will connect to the SAP web services and
then bring the data to SharePoint.
