Samples of Public Facing Sharepoint Sites

Asked By: Damaris    Date: Jun 30    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 6971

I am doing researching of how other companies are using Sharepoint as
their public facing internet site, so we can identify how to apply this
to our setups.

If you currently use Sharepoint for your public facing website (can be
any version of Sharepoint), would you mind sending me the url?

There is a demonstration of public  facing websites in a demonstration
made by Thomas Rizzo on MOSS 2007. It is a Silverlight based
demonstration so I would recommend downloading it and playing the
demonstration. However, any sight with /pages/ in the URL is a dead
giveaway. Here are some examples of public based SharePoint sights:

Also, review the ECTS (External Collaboration Toolkit for SharePoint).
