Run a report on documents in a WSS site

Asked By: Arnold    Date: Apr 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 890

I guess I have just been confusing as can be. Here is what I am
trying to do.

My manager wants a report containing all the documents in a WSS site.
In this report, he would like title, location, and date last modified.

Can anyone give me directions on how to obtain this information. I
would think this would be an admin function that I just havent been
able to locate.

1. Click on site  Settings
2. In the Administration section click on Go to Site Administration
3. In the Site Collection Administration click on View storage space allocation

This gives you a list of all items in the site collection. Change the drop down to documents  and click Go! To see all the documents listed. Of course this is a site collection administration function  so not really a “manager” report  per se.

This only allows me to see 100 of them.
Anyway to see them all?

Not using this mechanism as it’s a system page and the smarts behind it are inside SharePoint. You can build something custom to do it but there’s nothing OOTB.

I don't know how to do that.
You would think that would be built in.
