RSS Announcement Feed EMPTY?

Asked By: Edward Morgan         Date: Feb 26, 2007      Category: MOSS      Views: 271

Another question, since everyone is being so cool and helpful today:

I'm noticing that my Announcement Lists are EMPTY on some of the RSS
feeds for SOME of my Sites in MOSS 2007.

(In other words, one site will have announcements in the RSS feed page,
and other sites will not... but all of the settings are the same... and
creating a new announcement doesn't make a difference.)

What the heck?!?

Changing the settings does not seem to make any differences.

Is this a common bug?

...or am I just doing something wrong.

Did you verify that the account you're accessing the RSS page
viewer with has read permissions on the posts that you're expecting to
see?

Well, it appears it takes a little while for the announces to populate
with the new items, and if you link to the list's RSS feed  you get the
items anyway. (Even though they are not visable when viewing the RSS
Announcements Page for the link...)
