Room Schedule

What is the best way or maybe what Sharepoint part should I use if I want to
create room schedules for different departments? And I would like those
departments to update their own schedules.

Any advice?

there is a template that is part of the Fab 40 that you could use. it gives
you most of the basic functions, and you can customize it to fit your needs.

What are the security requirements? Can anyone schedule any room? Can everyone
see all the room schedules?

And I would agree with jason w, check out the fab40 template and see if that
will work. Unless of course you are woking on 2007, I understand that fab40
won't be updated for 2010.
