Ribbon Questions, automatically poping up the new documents list

Date: Oct 13    Category: MOSS    Views: 592

I have a page that has four document library web parts on it. These libraries
contain document templates / content types. I.E. the PM library contains
templates just for project management.
The users do not like the all the steps to open the ribbon and don't want to
have to go through all the steps to get to the new document button and click it
to bring up the list of templates, instead they would like a link on the page
that would open the ribbon and display the new document list of documents.

They do not want to combine all the templates, so I would need one link for each
of the document libraries, to open the correct ribbon and trigger the new
document drop down.
Does anyone have any idea where to start?

While I never did figure this out, I was able to add all my document
templates(47) to one library and with a little javascript and some jquery I am
able to create an accordion type group for each document in categories when the
user hits the new document button.

I would have suggested adding a CEWP with links to the NewForm.aspx for
each type...

I tried that, but I have to save the site as a template and it would have been a
big manual proccess to update all the pages to make sure the documents save to
the right library.
