Retrieve users from AD security group

Does anyone know how to create a custom list to display users from an
AD security group? My end goal is to build a template that a manager
can use on his/her MySite to list all users in the department AD
group
and then use that list as the basis for filling other list (perhaps
each persons MySite).

Has this been posed before?

Another point I forgot to mention; I prefer to hard code the AD
Security Group name as retrieving all Security Groups would be
pointless, and cumbersome.
