Do you have daily/weekly backups of your site?

Yes we do. Can you send  me detailed info about backing up the site  & restoring  it. Since I am new to this I would like to restore  to a diff site, make sure I did this right.

There isn't a column restore  or list  restore in SPPT 2003. If you have
an STP file representing the List or Web that included all the deleted
data (10MB in total size), you could potentially use that. Otherwise,
you'll need a backup of the Web, Site Collection, or Farm to get your
column back.

If it is less than 10 MB you can save the site  as a Custom Site Template
(from Site Administration page). Otherwise, you will need to use STSADM,
smigrate, or SPSBackup.

For saving a site  as a template, you can go to site administration page and under "Management and Statistics", you should find an option (Save site as template) that you are looking for.
