Restore Problem

Asked By: Seth Davis         Date: May 14, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 681

We had the SQL Server for our SharePoint Portal 2003 crash. We built a new SQL
server and tried to restore the portal and after an hour and 50 minutes it
failed:

Error: RuntimeFilter: Failed to load all runtime filter configurations or the
runtime filter component Exception has been thrown by the target of an
invocation.

Created a new SQL server  and matched configuration with that of the one that
crashed. Connected SPPS 2003 Front End to new SQL server to create config DB.
Run SharePoint Bacvkup/Restore to restore  from backup. The roblem is that the
Content DB is 33GB but the log is 280GB. We have done this before with no
problem. We have done this twice before to test Database Migration to MOSS 2007.
The real problem  is that the Backup/Restore doesn't provide any feedback on
progress. You have to wait 10-12 hours to see if it is successfulk or not.
