I'm running into a weird issue when trying to restore a site or even
the entire farm. Normally, the restore process gives you options that
allow you to specify a new database server and database names.
However, I don't seem to have those options on a restore that I'm
doing. The backup is a farm level backup. I've tried restoring the
entire farm as well as individual sites. But even though I specify
the "new configuration" option, I don't get the options to specify the
database information. This results in error messages in the database
restore section. A check of the log files shows that it's using blanks
as the database server name for the connection string during the
restore which results in the "cannot connect to server" error message.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? I'm trying to to teh restore
to a fresh farm but obviously cannot do a proper one if it doesn't
allow me to specify my database information.
