Restore Error - SPS 2001

I got the following error when I tried restoring SPS 2001 backup.The
backup was taken from server 'A' and I'm restoring it on Server
'B'.Both have Win 2000 Adv.Server SP3 and SPS with SP1. The SPS on
Server 'B' is a trial version.

Error Details:

Errno:8007000D Desc:Automation Error. The data is invalid.

Is that something I'm missing out as I'm unable to restore SPS.Do I
need to have anything apart from same version on both the servers
(which I have already done)?
