Replacing titlegraphic.gif

Asked By: Roxana Middleton         Date: Jun 24, 2007      Category: MOSS      Views: 484

It's the little thing in MOSS 2007 that are really getting to me. I've
replaced the default titlegraphic.gif with our corporate logo. I
renamed the the default to titlegraphicOLD.gif and renamed our
corporate logo to titlegraphic.gif.

Seems I'm the only one in the company that can see the new logo.
Everyone else gets a image place holder with a "x" or they are
prompted for a password to now see the MOSS 2007 site.

Anyone have ideas what caused this?

Its probably the ntfs permissions of the file itself - i suspect you
copied it from somewhere else on the same hard drive and its retained
its original permissions - check the ntfs permissions of the gif  and
make sure it has the same ntfs permissions as the original file

Did you replace the file in the hive or did you use Sharepoint
Designer?

I replaced the file in the hive. Seems the NTFS permission's needed to be
added to the new titlegraphic.gif to allow users access to it. Made the
change and now the company logo is visible to all intranet users.
