Repair SPPS

I have some problems with my existing Installation of SPPS, but I have workspace
already being used, can I repair SPPS without loosing workspace.

Repair should not overwrite an existing workspace.

Sharepoint provide option to backup and restore sharepoint content database. You can easily create a redundant copy of your database using stsadm –o backup&resore and you can also backup and restore the content database directly from SQL Server.
