Renaming custom solution

I am new to custom web part development and I am developing my first custom web part. I am having trouble renaming the solution in the features view.

When I deploy the web part into my application and navigate to Site Actions --> site settings --> modify all site settings --> site collection featues, the feature is the project name. How do you rename the web part so that the feature displays a custom name and description?
