I created a document library and saved it as a template but after som
though want to either edit or delete it. I cannot see how to
accomplish this.

To edit, provision a new library  using the template, make your changes,
and resave the template. To delete, go to the lists template  library
(if you can't find it, save a new template and you'll end up there at
the end of the process). From there you can delete.

If I try to save a new template  over it, I errors out and does not
permit it. There is no list showing when I try to save a new one.

What are you getting at the end of the process creating a new template  -
typically you should see either the template library  or a page
containing a link to it.

I just found it. I actually deleted the Document Workspace
because I didn't want people using the wrong one only to find out it
was actually resident at the Site level. Heh. here:
../_catalogs/lt/Forms/AllItems.aspx
