Remove Unwanted Calendar Columns

I have a user who wants to set up a calendar list because she likes the
"recurrence" feature but doesn't want to see the "Create workspace"
item. However, that item (and others) do not have the "delete" option
available when editing. Is there a way to remove these unwanted items
from a calendar list?
