How to remove Topics

Asked By: Siddhi    Date: Apr 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1565

I was able to remove the link to Topics off the Top Nav bar but I can
still see the links on the left Nav Bar. See link below. (small graphic)

If I open the site in FrontPage 2003, I don't see the Topics on teh
left. Instead I see all of the Top Nav links and no links to topics:

Any idea on why this is happening? I'd prefer not to have anything in
the left Nav but if I have to have something there. I'd like to be
able to modify the text.

If you would like to create or delete an area or subarea, use 'Manage
Portal Site' (_layouts/1033/catman.aspx) instead of FrontPage.

Even I have the same problem, but for some reason, the server is now
allowing me to delete the Topcis area. I am trying to delete using
Portal administrator. What can be issue?
