Remove a theme?

Asked By: Israel    Date: Oct 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1359

I've beening digging around the SPS admin guide with no luck. How can I remove
a theme entirely that I don't want users to use or apply to any templates (ie.
some of the internal themes shipped with the product) ?

You could remove  or disable the "Apply theme  to site" link in the C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033\settings.aspx page.

Change the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033\themeweb.aspx page.

Alternatively, you could remove the themes  that you don't want users  to use
from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\THEMES directory. Not sure without doing some
research how to remove these themes from the themeweb.aspx page. An IISRESET
didn't do it.
