Remove / Hide the default scope - Sharepoint 2007

Asked By: Dale Dean         Date: Apr 07, 2010      Category: MOSS      Views: 464

I have created a scope for search/advance search. I have some doubts
in that. I have listed my doubts below

1. By default there are some scope available (like All sites,
People) in search scope. I need to delete/Hide those default scope from
my search page. Is it possible?

2. For advance search, the scope which i have created need to be
checked while the page is loading.

3. Displaying the result of search it going to a seperate page.
Instead of going to a seperate page can i able to display the result in
the same page where Search is happening.

If above things are possible suggest me the steps i need to follow to
achieve the same.
