How to remove NEW graphic on coverted list records

  Asked By: Harshita    Date: Oct 10    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1775

I'm converting a custom list to a contacts list. The new list works
exactly as expected, except all the records show up with the !NEW
graphic next to them. This is converted data, so it's technically not
new at all. I know SharePoint thinks the records are new because
technically they are.

Any sneaky way of telling SharePoint to NOT display the NEW graphic
for list items?

you could change the days to display new to 0. it would then apply to all list

Stsadm.exe -o setproperty -url <Web application> -pn days-to-show-new-icon -pv
<value in days>

I guess I was looking more for a way to turn off the "!NEW" graphic
JUST for the data I converted. SharePoint must be looking at the
Modified Date or some other attribute that I can modify to make it
"look" like it wasn't changed.
