Remove "edit" chrome

Asked By: Sonya    Date: Feb 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 6609

I want to display a page using a custom navigation menu that is
different from the "chrome" that is wrapped around it within the web-
based admin. What is the best way to do this? I still want to retain
the ability to edit the page within the Sharepoint admin (using the
default chrome) but I want the option to display a published page
using a different master page, layout, etc. Can someone point me to
some links that might help me with this?

I was having the same idea. If I understand you right you want to edit
the page  using one Page Layout and display  the page using another.

This is useful for us because the placement of DIV tags for
cross-browser compatibility is especially problematic. To have a wizard
that allows you to enter page information, and then another external
facing page for the site visitor to see would be ideal.
