Relative paths in Content Editor Web Parts with Rich Text Editor

It doesn't seem to allow this.
This is kind of a big issue for us as we have folks hard-coding in the
full URL that we know is going to change at a later date. In fact it
is I guess just a fact of dealing with the RT Editor, because in some
instances pictures appear and when you click on the IMG button there
is no SRC URL for it. But it shows up in the Source Editor.
Is there something I'm overlooking?

And apparently the same problem exists in Lists. You have to code in
the fully qualified URL to an item or page or it errors out.
