Regarding Pge Viewer Web Part

  Asked By: Chance    Date: Jul 05    Category: MOSS    Views: 664

I am working on such a requirement where I need to integrate SPS2007 site with
an externel dotnet application
Then to full fill this REK I choose the "PageViewerWebPart" help.
I inserted this web part on to my external application intgration tab and fine
the externel application is seen fit nicely in this web part and thus on
sharepoint site
but the problem is as soon as I try to login on the externel application
through the web part on site the window is comming out of the site( a new
browser is opening)
but I want to keep this as integral part of the site.it shud work uneder the
tab of the sharepoint site but not in another new browser
please can anybody sugges me how to over come it!
and make my external application as the integral part of the sharepoint site??

The base issue here is that the Page Viewer web  part is essentially just
an iFrame. It sounds like the source pages you are pointing to are
using Target= attributes in their links (e.g. <a href="url"
target="_blank"> or <a href="url" target="windowname">) which are not
stripped out as the Page Viewer doesn't do any processing of the web
part content. The only workaround is to change the HTML of the source
