Regarding Infopath 2010

  Date: Oct 13, 2011      Category: Sharepoint 2010      Views: 70

I am new to SharePoint environment. I created a form using Info path 2010
using SP standard edition. When I was trying to publish the form I was unable to
do so and I encountered with error which read :

This form template is browser compatible, but it cannot be browser enabled on
the selected site. This may be caused by one of the following reasons:
- The server is not running Info Path Forms Services.
- The necessary features are not available on the site collection.
- The policy setting on the server does not allow users to browser-enable form
templates.

I looked for a solution but could not succeed. Can someone help me.

If I am not mistaken, InfoPath Form Services is a part of SP Enterprise
edition.

Browser compatible forms can only be uploaded to SharePoint server's running
the Enterprise version. Since you are running Standard Edition you are
getting an error. Open the form in InfoPath and remove the Browser
compatible flag and then save and re-publish.
