i have a back up scenaio that has plenty of issues

there is a Test SPS Front End Server(ALPHA) Configured with a
dbSErver (ALPHA _DB)

and there is A Production Server(BETA) Configured with its db server
(BETA_DB)

i want to backup sps ALPHA
and want to restore it to sps BETA

but i have no idead how i will do it some one guide with the steps
with
respect to the above described scenario.
I need detail description abt its planning and implementation plz
provide me with a step by step guide
