Redirecting users to certain pages based on ligin credentials

Asked By: Kiara    Date: Jun 24    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 19729

I would like to setup a sharepoint page that works like a ftp site. On
the iis ftp server if you login and there is a folder there that
matches the username you are logged in as then you are redirected and
only see stuff at the root of that folder.

Is there a way to do something like this with sharepoint? When a user
logs on they are redirected to a certain page.

Sure. I just published a blogpost on how to redirect the authentication to windows or forms based on ip-range. If you look at the solution, you just need to change (well implement a different page actually) the redirect when the actual authentication has been made.

Authorization solves the folder and permission requirements that you have out of the box.
