Does anyone know if it is possible to Redirect a client browser to a different
web page  from within a custom web part?

I did a bog entry on this here,
www.toddklindt.com/.../Post.aspx?ID=48. Look for
the part about using a Content Editor Web Part to do redirection.

thanks,but that's not quite what I mean. I'm writing a custom web part that
calculates a URL, that I want to send the user to ..
I've tried something like this which crashes:

string newURL;

newURL = "http:\\website?" + params;

this.Context.Server.Transfer(newURL);

You could render out the html meta refresh code with the new URL.

A couple things:

1) Use // instead of \\ for URLs J

2) Is the URL you are sending to within the same site? If not, you
need to do a Response.Redirect rather than a Server.Transfer - see

Excellent - Response.Reditrect works a treat. Thanks very much.
