Recurring events dispform.aspx

I'm working on making a custom display form using the data view web part to just
display events when clicked on for the full event details. All events work fine
except the recurring events which have URLs like this
ID=14.0.2009-04-01T15:00:00Z in stead of ID=4. I simply created a page under my
pages library and then added the data source and data view web part for
displaying the event details and set the parameters to QueryString: ID. Any
ideas how to make my custom dispform to work with the recurrent event details?

Open the .aspx page, where you have your DataFormWebPart, using SharePoint Designer. Then select the WebPartPages: DataFormWebPart in Design mode and click on the emerging arrow to the right to display the Common Data View Tasks menu. In the Common Data View Tasks menu, click on Parameters. You should be able to see two Parameters: ListItemID and ListID. Select the List ID parameter, and remove it from the list. Click OK to save your changes.
