Recovering Personal Views on Custom List

Asked By: Lauren    Date: Oct 24    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2930

My company is currently migrating all users from several Active
Directory domains to a single one (we are in the process of a merger)
and I was contacted by one of my users who said he was unable to see
his personal views on a particular custom list. I logged on as the
portal admin and didn't see them either. I had him log on with his old
account and he could then see his personal views.

Is there an easy way I can migrate his personal views liked to his old
AD profile to his new one?

I thought about possibly saving the views as templates, but I don't
think that would solve the problem. Any insight would be appreciated.
I also thought I might be able to save the views in Excel and then
maybe merge them into the main list.

It looks like what I need. I'll give it a go in my QA environment tomorrow.

shot in the dark, but stsadm.exe -o migrate  user *might* work for views.
