Read Only columns in DVWP?

Asked By: Harshita    Date: Nov 23    Category: MOSS    Views: 881

Does anyone know of a way to display a DVWP with certain columns being
read-only? Right now I'm using a multiple item form view but we wish to have
certain fields be non-editable from the display page. Any ideas on how to go
about doing this?

You're editing this in SPD, right? If so, you have full control over how
the individual fields render.

I usually just replace the individual field control for that column with a
label control bound to the same field. You can read it, but not edit it.

I'll give that a shot. I had actually got this to work by creating a
calculated column displaying the value but the formatting is a bit off. It'll
work in a pinch, though, if I can't come up with something a bit more refined.
