Quick document versioning question

Asked By: Giovanni Ballard         Date: Mar 05, 2003      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 225

Can anyone tell me whether SharePoint Portal 2003 enforces (or can enforce) a limit on the number of versions to save for a document in a "version-enabled" document library?

I didn't see anything in the Resource Kit about it.

There is nothing in the SDK, you will need to write custom code to purge old versions

SharePoint Products and Technologies do not enforce a limit on the number of
versions.

However, there is supposed to be a tool on the Resource Kit CD that you can
schedule to prune the Document Libraries to a given number of versions. I'll
ask Bill English tomorrow.
