How to Query Oracle Database Content Using BDC

Asked By: Scottie    Date: Jan 25    Category: MOSS    Views: 1465

I'm just curious about how do people do to create ADF (Application Definition File) without BDC Meta Man tool ?

At the moment I have deployed MOSS 2007 SP1 but don't know how to index/ query Oracle Database without that XML file.

Any idea please ?

to be honest, I think everybody use a tools like BDCMan or BDC Editor :-) You may have to get into the code to provide some customizations if needed, but a tool  like BDC Metaman is good enough.
-if you want the Oracle data to be indexed in MOSS you have to use the BDC (and an ADF).
-By the way, It is not related to the question, but I don't think you can invoke Oracle Stored Proc from the BDC (without web services), be careful...
