Queries on Sharepoint Security group...

The Site Hierarchy is as follows:

A --> B --> D
|
A --> C --> E

There are 200 users. Say X, Y, Z …..

Here the user X is reader for the site A,B,C, contributor for the Site
E and D.
Again the user Y is contributor for site A, admin for Site E, he/she
does not have access to sites B,C,D
The user Z is reader for the site A, and admin for Site E,D. he/she
does not have access to B and C.

I want to create/automate a security groups for that. Can anybody
throws light on this?

Hay I have planned to have 5 ADSI groups. I am grouping of users of
simillar access and devided into 5 groups.

This should work fine. I wanted you is there any better way to
implement?

I dont understand the cross site group. can anybody explain me
practically? how it is differ from other built in group?
