Purge profile database in a portal?

Is there a way, without digging into the API, to purge the entire contents of a profile database? I haven’t looked at the SDK, but I’m sure I can dig in and either drop the entire profile db contents, or enumerate through all the profiles and delete each one. Just looking for an easier way that I’m just not able to find in the Help files, GoogleGroups, history of this group or MS Support.
