PublishingExpirationDate on EditModePanel displays Immediately instead of Never

I'm using SPS publishing features and I've been creating a new Page Layout, I've added the PublishingScheduleFieldControl webcontrol for the PublishingExpirationDate field in an EditModePanel.

When users are editing the page for the "Scheduling End Date" it displays "Immediately" instead of "Never" for the default value. It seems to act as "Never" anyway when it's selected but this is terribly confusing for users.

Any idea how to correct the label ??
