Project Server 2003 and Windows Share Point Services Integration

Asked By: Srikant    Date: Nov 25    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1916

Looking to see if there's anyone out there that has any information
pertaining to Project Server 2003 and Windows SharePoint Services v2.0
integration.

Currently have almost everything working, however the integration
between WSS and PS does not seem to be occurring. Have run the
PSCOMPlus executeable, checked to be sure that the certificate for SSL
is correct and checked all URLs and DNS. This error is occurring when
I go to validate that the URLs are correct in PWA's Manage Windows
SharePoint Services section.

I am attempting to do this from the local box, so there is no firewall
concerns.

I am running Project 2K3 with WSS but they are on different servers.
When I initially set it up it was on the same server  and I have problems
connecting to WSS. When I separated the WSS, Project, and SQL everything
seems to be working great. Also have you installed the Project Server
service packs? (2a) I know that fixes a lot of problems with WSS.

I think that we might have figured out our issue (all one server  too), though the recommendation for the SP2a is definitely something that should be noted for not just us, but for anyone that is working to integrate these two pieces together. After getting everything integrated we still did notice some minor errors which SP2a did correct.
