Programmatically Export SSRS Reports to PDF

Asked By: Sade    Date: Jun 04    Category: MOSS    Views: 2914

I am currently running MOSS 2007 and SSRS 2005 integrated mode

I have a requirement where a number of reports will need to be executed on a schedule and exported to PDF format, then added to a separate document library - this is due to access restrictions, licensing issues etc.

Is there a way to do this programmatically? Or even a schedule I can setup on my Sharepoint site to automate the export and save to a drop folder? I have briefly looked at Subscriptions but not quite sure how they work

You should consider creating SSRS subscriptions using the OOTB SharePoint Document Library delivery extension to deliver the redenred report in PDF to a SharePoint Document Library. For details on this functionality in SSRS 2005 refer to: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326364(SQL.90).aspx
